About Us

Total fun

Just worked Japan, South America and several others on 20 meters with 90 watts on 140 foot end feed dipole up 30 ft. I am fighting the urge to buy the Power and run 10 watts most of the time. Receiver a little weak on FT-897d and my 6 meters not quite right, so just picked up a FTdx-1200 and trying to setup. I will run 2 meters and 70 CM on the FT-897d.

Henry WB6QIH with Steve WB6BNT aboard the USS Hancock around 1969 off the coast of Vietnam. My licensee expired a few years later and just finally got time to take the test in Jan 2018 missed 1. Steve has a new call sign AL7RM near Reno NV. Got this picture at our 50th class reunion from Steve.

So much has changed since I got licensed in 1959 that everyday is an adventure on all these bands. Anyone who can remember what they had for breakfast will enjoy this hobby!!
